Delivery Information
To receive a delivery, it’s vital to comply with the guidelines regarding delivery vehicles, access, surfaces, pallets, and signatures.
Pallet Delivery
The delivery driver will employ a manual pump truck to move the pallet, which necessitates a firm and flat surface – gravel or grass won’t suffice.
Road Surfaces
The access route must be HGV-appropriate, including surfaces like block paving, tarmac or concrete. Please note that our lorries are unable to navigate rough, loose, or soft terrain.
Point Of Delivery
Your delivery will be made to a flat, hard-surfaced curb. Pump trucks can’t handle gravel or grass surfaces.
Lorry Access
The delivery location must be accessible to large vehicles. It’s essential that the road is sufficiently broad, free of obstacles, and has ample space for our 18 or 28-tonne lorry to maneuver and turn.
Your Signature
Inspect your goods before signing. If there’s an issue, sign as ‘Damaged’ and fill out our Claims Form within 72 hours. If you can’t inspect or sign, have someone do it for you. If it needs to be left unsigned, let us know in the checkout notes.
Delivery Vehicles
We exclusively use Tail-lift lorries for deliveries, which will be made at the kerbside on a hard surface using a pallet truck.

We have access to our own Hiab Vehicle for quick and easy delivery, please Contact Us should you require a quote for this.

Where We Deliver
Our prices below are all standard 2-3 day delivery. For next working day delivery, we charge an additional £15.00 per pallet regardless of the location. All next working day delivery orders need to be placed before 11am Monday to Friday.
White & Purple Zones.
Delivery is included for white and purple zones.
Yellow Zones
Yellow zones are £10.00 additional charge per pallet.
Orange Zones
Orange zones are £15.00 additional charge per pallet.
London And Red Zones
London and red zones are £25.00 additional charge per pallet.
Blue Zones
Blue zones are £70.00 additional charge per pallet.

Next Day Delivery
We offer Next Day Delivery for an extra £15.00 per pallet. Orders must be placed before 11am for next day delivery, regardless of location.
Delivery Times
We aim to provide fast and reliable delivery services. Despite varying times due to location and order size, we aim for a 2-3 business day standard delivery.
Saturday Delivery
To arrange a Saturday delivery, please give us a Call To Order. Costs are based on your postcode. Orders after 11am Fridays will be delivered the following Saturday.
Delivery Prices
Our delivery costs depend on your delivery zone. They may be included in the product price or could add up to £70 extra. Always check your zone for potential additional costs.
Delivery Access
Please ensure there is sufficient access for the delivery vehicle and personnel. Restrictions or obstructions may lead to delivery delays or additional charges.

If your pallet arrives damaged during delivery, it’s recommended that you still accept it. At Cowley Stone, we aim for secure packaging, but transit damage can sometimes occur. Despite the damage, many pieces can often be repurposed as offcuts. Any chips or minor damages typically do not affect the overall functionality and are usually hidden once installed. However, ensure to document the damage at the time of delivery and fill out our claims form below for potential refunds. Please note, we do not offer free replacements and claims are not accepted for self-collected orders.
Our standard delivery is included for our White and Purple zones. For other postcode zones, additional charges are applied per pallet. Additional charges also apply for next-day delivery services.

Yes, we offer HIAB delivery service. If you require this option, please contact our customer service team, who will be happy to arrange it for you.
If you are unable to sign for your delivery, please ensure you provide written confirmation beforehand. This allows us to inform our couriers in advance
Due to the size or weight of certain products, they may not be suitable for delivery on a standard pallet. For our most competitive delivery rates, please contact our customer service team.
Returns Policy
You can return unused goods within 14 days from the collection/delivery date.
To initiate a return, the product must be unused, in saleable condition, and in its original packaging. You are responsible for the cost and arrangement of returning the goods. At our discretion, we may arrange collection through our distribution network, starting from £100.00 per pallet (up to 1000 kg) for standard delivery. Prices may vary based on postcode. Hi-Ab lorry collection costs are priced on application.

Product Condition
All products must be returned in its original packaging unused and fit for original saleable condition.

Returning Cobbles Or Porcelain Slabs
Cobbles and porcelain slabs returns will be accepted in full unopened crates only.

Discrepancies Or Breakages
All goods to be checked on delivery, any discrepancies or breakages must be notified to A.Cowley & Sons Ltd. within 48 hours.

The goods must be securely palletised as received, allowing the driver to load them via a pump truck onto the vehicle. You retain responsibility for the goods until they are in our possession and accepted by us.
Please note, only full packs or unopened accessories are eligible for return.
Refunds will be processed once we have received and verified the condition of the returned goods, and they have been booked back into stock. Please allow up to 5 working days from receipt of the goods for this process to be completed.
You will receive a full refund of the amount paid, minus relevant collection and restocking charges at 20%.

We recommend refraining from scheduling any tradesperson or equipment hire until after your goods have been delivered to avoid potential delays due to unforeseen circumstances. Deliveries are made by a third-party company, and while we aim to meet estimated delivery times, these are estimates and not guaranteed. We regret any inconvenience caused by delays resulting from factors beyond our control.

Make sure to sign your goods as ‘damaged’ when delivered. Fill out the form below within 48 hours of delivery. We can’t handle damage claims after 48 hours, or if the delivery note wasn’t signed as ‘damaged’.
