Natural Stone Steps: What are my options?

2 min read

Having natural stone steps in your garden can add another dimension into your garden design. Whether you opt to use a traditional paver or something more substantial such as a bullnose or hand dressed coping stone here at Cowley Stone we know one size does not fit all gardens.

Paving

Using paving from your patio to create natural stone steps is a great way to maintain a seamless look in your garden. This option is usually the most cost effective way of creating a step, as patio paving stones are generally priced per square meter rather than individually.

Bullnose Coping Stones

A bullnose finish not only enhances the stylish appearance of your natural stone step but also minimises the risk of edge damage, ensuring lasting beauty and durability. Our bullnose coping range is available in sawn or natural finishes. These steps are thicker than the traditional paving slab, at 40mm thick they create a sizable step. Available in 900mm and 1200mm lengths.

Hand Dressed Coping Stones

Our beautiful hand dressed coping stones and block steps add character and charm to gardens, patios, and landscapes. Their hand dressed finish produces a timeless traditional look. Available in various sizes , minimum thickness of 50mm.

Utlimately, choosing the right style of step is dependent on the look you want to achieve. All can look aesthetically pleasing in the right setting.
